JuriNiva exists because the gap between “I have a legal question” and “I can afford to ask a lawyer” is where most people in India actually live.
Why this exists
India's courts carry one of the largest case backlogs in the world, and a single consultation with a lawyer can cost more than most people earn in a week. Meanwhile, free AI chatbots will answer a legal question in seconds — but from memory, with no source, no confidence signal, and often no idea that a law changed under them.
We built JuriNiva to close that gap honestly: retrieve the actual legal provision first, verify the AI's answer against it, and only then show it to you — in English, हिन्दी, ಕನ್ನಡ, with more languages on the way.
What we believe
Verify before you speak
An AI that guesses confidently is worse than one that says 'I'm not sure.' Every JuriNiva answer is checked against a real, versioned source before it reaches you — not generated from memory alone.
The law is public. Understanding it shouldn't be a luxury.
A ₹15,000 consultation fee prices out the exact situations most people first need help with — a deposit, a bounced cheque, a notice they don't understand.
Your language, not just English legalese
Explaining a personal legal problem is hard enough. It shouldn't also require fluency in a second language and a vocabulary you were never taught.
Say what we don't know
A confidence score, a disclaimer, an honest 'this needs a lawyer' — these aren't hedges, they're the product. Overclaiming is the one thing an AI legal tool can't afford to do.
Where we are today
JuriNiva is founder-led and early — pre-launch, built end-to-end with a bias toward getting the trust architecture right before chasing scale.
